SDICC Video| Linyi city embraces the old and the new
Introduction:
Mengshan Mountain in Linyi City, located in the center of Shandong Province,
is the second highest peak in Shandong after Mount Tai.
Guimeng Top, the main peak, is 1,156 meters high. Mengshan Mountain is therefore regarded as the Second-highest after Mount Tai.
The one thousand “Gu” are the most unique landform in the area, which are referred to as China's fifth geomorphologic feature.
In the five millennia of Chinese history, rivers and mountains have never been simply geographical concepts. They embrace the aesthetic ideas, thoughts, and sentiments of the Chinese people.
Linyi, named for its proximity to the Yi River, was founded about 3,000 years ago.
The Yi River, the mother river flowing southward through the city, is 574 kilometers long and is the longest river originating in Shandong.
